Angelita Cardoso was born in São Paulo.
With a degree in History, her artistic research career includes the study of different techniques, such as illustration, drawing, painting, engraving and watercolour.
The artist also spent some time in Italy to improve her vocation and methodology of creation.
On her return to Brazil, she dedicated herself to an artistic production with a personal reading, centred on her own intimacy.
Angelita Cardoso externalises her feelings and interprets her own questionings in an almost existential approach.
"It is in the act of making that I am, and that is why I produce in a state of trance, of convulsion, of hysteria", reveals the artist, also affirming that she likes "the unconscious, water, archetypes, the psyche...".
Angelita Cardoso's works explore the subliminal information present in souls and imaginary characters, composed by the particular stroke and fluidity itself, an analogy with the dilution of paint and the organic combination of colours that she usually prints in her watercolours.
They are striking works, but mysterious, enigmatic and full of representativeness.
The artistic result has led to the artist's work touring galleries and exhibition halls all over the world. In addition to group and solo exhibitions in Brazil, Angelita Cardoso's works have been present in exhibitions all over Europe in countries such as Portugal, Spain, France and Germany.
